Renter, Inc. is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) as described by FCRA. Renter, Inc. collects fact based tenant history from landlords, property managers, and apartments and makes it available to the rental housing community to help screen tenants more accurately. By using Renter, Inc, to request and to respond to a landlord reference request, you are helping to create a Tenant Rental History Database for the Rental Community. Those who use Renter, Inc. to request landlord references will automatically see the reports provided by other landlords about the same renter. Our intention is to make our database available to other housing providers in the future. Currently it’s only available to our current Renter, Inc. users.
What info is reported about the renter.
You can report all or some of the following data.
- Move in / Move out dates
- Rent amount paid?
- Number of times paid late?
- Bounced check was given?
- Money owed on move-out?
- Gave sufficient notice on move out?
- Got evicted?
- Broke a lease agreement?
- Unauthorized guests/pets?
- Reports of complaints?
- Criminal Activity?
